A power bank that's small enough to fit into a wallet

The PowerKite power bank portable charger made by Power Theory is an extremely useful and compact  device. Only fractionally larger than a credit card, it’s slim enough to go unnoticed in most pockets, purses and wallets.

Some of the best phones on the market, such as Apple’s iPhone 6 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 have seen reductions in battery storage capacity in favour of a thinner phone.  This may not be a problem for some light phone users, but for those who like to play games, watch videos and browse social media this is fast becoming an major issue.  Many users spending the last few hours of the day in battery saving mode clinging on to the last few drops of charge.  The PowerKite power bank portable charger is a great solution for topping your phone up on the go.

PowerKite power bank portable charger – Design

For once I’m able to avoid moaning about fingerprint magnet surfaces on portable phone chargers! The PowerKite thankfully has a nice matt finish with an interesting ripple effect on the front. The edges are white which gives a nice contrasting trim effect.  This power bank is also available in white, however this colour happens to be my personal preference.

The Power Theroy power bank portable phone charger has a fitted micro usb charging cable and comes with a lightning adapter

The PowerKite has a built in charging micro USB cable that fits snugly into the power bank and comes with an Apple Lightning adapter.  This means you do not need to carry any additional cables to use the power bank.  The Apple Lightning adapter fits neatly in a slot underneath the micro USB cable for storage.

The PowerKite is 6cm wide, 9.5cm tall and only 6mm thick, it weighs just 60 grams which is just over 2 ounces.  Given the choice between a credit card designed mini power bank and the popular lip-stick style tubular design like the Anker Astro I’d most definitely opt for this.  The shape fits perfectly against your phone and won’t be mistaken for something entirely different..

PowerKite power bank portable charger – Features

The PowerKite power bank portable charger is as simple as it gets in terms of use. It will automatically switch on when connected to your device and off when disconnected.  There is a small blue LED indicator light that will glow during charging and flash when the power bank is low.  When re-charging the power bank, the LED light will flash red and become a solid red when the charging is complete.

  1. This used to work fine with my iPhone and still charges Androids with no problem. i cannot get it to work with my iPhone 11 software version 15.5. i’ve tied a different lightning adapter to the one supplied with the PowerKite unit – still no joy. my iPhone charges fine with the Power Theory 10000 which is, of course, not quite as portable!
